PRO RECCO: prima visita di controllo positiva per Stefano Tempesti

Prima visita superata con ottimi risultati. Continua la convalescenza per il Capitano Stefano Tempesti dopo l’intervento subito all’occhio destro, dieci giorni fa, presso la clinica oculistica di San Martino a Genova.

“Meglio di così non poteva andare”, sorride il numero 1 di casa Recco con la solita benda sul volto, carico dell’ottimismo che da sempre lo contraddistingue.

Matteo Badino, il chirurgo oculista che lo ha operato, si è detto soddisfatto: “Avere nove diottrie su dieci naturali, a questo punto della convalescenza, è rarissimo. Per la settimana prossima è previsto un altro controllo; e proprio questo sarà cruciale per capire se la retina resterà in assetto senza l’ausilio della bolla di gas”.

Stefano Tempesti, con al fianco l’inseparabile moglie Betta, pensa al futuro e non aspetta altro che tornare in acqua: “Avanti così sempre più fiduciosi. Desidero però ringraziare di cuore il Professor Matteo Badino che mi ha operato restando sul pezzo per tre ore e passa. Una menzione particolare desidero rivolgerla anche a tutti gli infermieri della clinica che mi sono stati vicini. Un rinraziamento particolare, però, devo farlo a Luigi Ravazzoni (zio dell’ex terzo portiere della Pro Massimo Dufour), sempre a disposizione con me, la mia famiglia e chiunque chiedesse notizie e informazioni durante l’operazione e dopo. Perfino nella visita di controllo”.

Naturalmente tutta la Pro Recco, in primis il Presidente Maurizio Felugo, ringrazia il Professor Badino e il Professor Ravazzoni per quanto fatto, rivolgendo ancora una volta al Capitano il più grande In bocca al Lupo.

Doppietta Acquachiara: presi Barroso e Federico Lapenna

I club napoletani infiammano il mercato di A1. Dopo l’ingaggio di Angelos Vlachopoulos da parte del Posillipo, la Carpisa Yamamay Acquachiara risponde con un doppio colpo: alla corte di Pino Porzio arrivano l’attaccante spagnolo del Real Canoe AlbertoBarroso (nella foto) e il centroboa della Lazio Federico Lapenna. Barroso, classe ’94, ha chiuso la stagione con il team madrileno da capocannoniere assoluto (tra regular season e playoff) della Division Honor (66 gol): attaccante di mano destra, nel giro della nazionale di Gabi Hernandez, giostra in posizione 4-5 ed è dotato di un gran tiro.

A dare la notizia del suo passaggio all’Acquachiara è stato il portale iberico Waterpolista.com. Federico Lapenna, già allenato da Pino Porzio alla Pro Recco, va invece a completare con il croato Ivan Krapic il settore dei centroboa.  L’Acquachiara, che ha ingaggiato anche il mancino serbo Vojislav Cupic, non ha ancora chiuso il suo mercato: i napoletani sono alla ricerca almeno di un portiere, un difensore e un altro attaccante.

Per due giocatori offensivi in entrata all’Acquachiara, uno difensivo in uscita: il centrale Simone Rossi fa ritorno al Posillipo, che aveva lasciato due stagioni fa. Ma il mercato dei rossoverdi non è da considerare ancora concluso: potrebbe arrivare ancora un difensore o un attaccante. La decisione spetterà al tecnico Occhiello.

Intanto il Brescia fa sapere che nella prossima stagione Guillermo Molina potrebbe essere tesserato come italiano: la procedura per la naturalizzazione del campione spagnolo è vicina alla conclusione. Bovo, dunque, vede liberarsi un posto da comunitario, che verrà occupato probabilmente da un attaccante. Radiomercato riferisce anche di un interessamento per Damir Buric, croato in possesso di passaporto italiano. Sul difensore, però, c’è anche la Bpm Sport Management, che parallelamente segue Massimo Giacoppo e NiccolòGitto.

La Carisa Savona, intanto, ha comunicato la riconferma del centroboa Sasha Sadovyy.

Posillipo, che colpo: arriva Vlachopoulos

Continua lo scoppiettante mercato del Posillipo. Dopo Luca Marziali dall’Acquachiara e Gavril Subotic dal Partizan, il circolo napoletano s’è assicurato le prestazioni di Angelos Vlachopoulos, attaccante dell’Olympiacos e della Grecia, tra i grandi protagonisti della Final Six di Champions League di Budapest: è stato lui, con una geniale deviazione allo scadere, a regalare al team di Vlachos l’accesso alla finale contro lo Jug.

Vlachopoulos, 25 anni il prossimo settembre, è un attaccante che giostra in posizione 1-2: dotato di gran tiro e visione di gioco, è stato determinante per il bronzo della Grecia ai Mondiali di Kazan. Giocatore di personalità, ha già dato l’addio all’Olympiacos con un messaggio sulla sua pagina Facebook. L’accordo con il Posillipo è concluso, manca solo l’ufficialità.

Il club rossoverde, inoltre, sarebbe vicino all’ingaggio di un difensore italiano. Con Subotic e Vlachopoulos in rossoverde, c’è ora spazio per un solo altro straniero: vicino alla riconferma Filip Klikovac, mentre Andro Buslje dovrebbe lasciare il club così come avvenuto per Jerko Marinic-Kragic.

Perrone: “At the Olympics to change my Brazil”

If there was a Golden Ball Award for waterpolo then this would be of Felipe Perrone. We met the Brazilian player in Budapest and we interviewed him just a while before his amazing Final Six Champions League with Jug began. You all know how it did end up: the Croatians with the cup in their hands and Perrone being celebrated as MVP (click here to watch all his goals in Budapest). Just the same finale of the Regional Liga, the Croatian Cup and the Croatian championship. Thanks to the Brazilian, Jug that was lacking trophies for two years suddenly managed to get four titles. Now Perrone is looking at Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, just where he was born. Will he be able to transform Brazil into a winning team, just as he did with the Jug?

Dear Felipe, what do you usually eat? During the match it looks like there were two Perrones playing…

Nothing special (laughing, edit)! Just joking… we got to Budapest in good shape. Our engagements in Croatia ended on the 4th of May, therefore we got enough time to get ready for the Champions League Final Six.

I guess you are quite happy about your first year with Jug…

When I got here I’ve been asked to win one title at least, and we managed to get three (they will become four in a while with the Champions League, edit). Then yes, but what makes me happy the most is the atmosphere in Dubrovnik. I am used to play in different teams, but nowhere else I found such involvement for waterpolo. Fans, newspapers, television: everybody talks about Jug and everyone is attached. For a Brazilian as me this is great, I would like to stay here for long (but pay attention to a possible Pro Recco’s last move, edit). Furthermore the team can get better, there are young players with great potentiality.

Who more than anyone?

Bijac is 25, he is very young as goalkeeper and in few years he will be the best in the world.

Now that the club season is over, the final dash towards the Olimpic Game is starting. When you started your career, the Brazilian waterpolo did not have any visibility on the international scene: would you ever imagine to be able to partecipate at the Olympics with the Seleçao and furthermore with such a competitive team?

At those times this was inconceivable, I left my home when I was 16 just to dedicate myself to the waterpolo, to become a waterpolo player. If I stayed in Rio surely I would be doing something else in my life by now. In 2009, when I found out that in 2016 my hometown would have hosted the Olympic Games, I started dreaming about Brazilian National waterpolo team. I am so happy because the Games are more than just sports, they have a social impact and whoever takes part to the Games can become an example to follow, a motivation for the youngers. By taking part to the Olympics with the Seleçao I can have an impact on the Brazilian society: this was the reason why I said yes to this project.

Perrone played two Olympics with Spain

This project led you into Rakto Rudic’s arms. Was it hard to train with him?

Very hard (laughing, edit)! Just after the end of the Final Six he wanted everyone to get ready for the training for the Olympics. I foresee the worst month of my entire life… (laughing again, edit).

Rudic sent the 90% of Seleçao players to play in Italy and Brazilians did just fine.

Rudic found the best solution to get those guys to grow up and they well accepted to do so. I think that some of them, as the brothers Gomes and Grummy, can still do much more better.

To complete the whole team few weeks ago there was the official acquirement of the sports citizenship for Slobodan Soro.

He will be very important for us even if there have been some controversy about the sports citizenship. It would have been better to have a Brazilian goalkeeper to grow up,  but there was no enough time. Given the situation, he was the best solution. He is a great player, he has experience and he will help us to get the result we need to improve the passion of our country toward waterpolo.

With this regards, how is the situation now: what feedback the Seleçao got?

The interest is increasing. Brazil is a country with many problems but people are passionate toward the sports and I am sure that at the Olympic Games will see many people attending the matches. There might be some problems in terms of organization, but surely the atmosphere will be great.

With these premises, will it be possible for the Brazilian waterpolo to keep on growing up also after the Olympic Games?

This is a huge question which I do not have any answer for. At this moment in time in Brazil we do not even know who our political leader will be, therefore it is hard to know what the waterpolo future will be. I wish that what has been done so far won’t be lost.

Maybe much will depend on the result you will get at the Olympics. Is Brazil ready to win against the European big teams?

This is a long way to go, but by beating Croatia at the Super Final in Bergamo last year we proved that we can make it. The minimum target is to get among the first eight teams, afterwards everything could happen.

Will Brazil be the Olympics surprise?

We will not, that will be Japan that we faced at the Intercontinental Tournament. They do play their own waterpolo: they are small, they have a fantastic press-defence and they can swim madly. Japan could hinder also stronger teams.

Verso Rio, Campagna “restringe” il Settebello

Da Siracusa a Messina: da lunedì 13 a giovedì 16 giugno il Settebello si trasferirà alla piscina del Centro Universitario della città peloritana per proseguire la preparazione in vista della Super Final di World League e, soprattutto, delle Olimpiadi di Rio de Janeiro. Insieme agli azzurri ci sarà anche la Nazionale degli Stati Uniti allenata da Dejan Udovicic per un common training che si concluderà il 16 giugno con un test amichevole (ore 19:30). Il 17 l’Italia del c.t. Sandro Campagna farà ritorno al Centro Federale di Ostia per poi partire il giorno dopo verso Huizhou, in Cina, sede della Super Final in programma dal 21 al 26 giugno.

Per il common training con gli Usa, Campagna ha ristretto da 26 a 21 il suo gruppo di lavoro: hanno lasciato il ritiro azzurro GiacomoBini, Tommaso Busilacchi, Edoardo Di Somma, Vincenzo Dolce e Roberto Ravina. Dopo l’amichevole con gli Usa il c.t. comunicherà i nomi dei 15 azzurri che prenderanno parte alla trasferta cinese.

Reprezentativci Crne Gore od juče su u Tokiju gdje će do 16. juna trenirati sa selekcijom Japana u sklopu priprema za Olimpijske igre u Riju. Vaterpolisti sa stručnim štabom našeg nacionalnog tima rade u Nacionalnom trenažnom centru Japana ''Ajinomoto'', a uslovi su idealni, poručio naš golman Miloš Šćepanović.

''Krenule su pripreme za ono glavno, a to su Olimpijske igre u Riju, očekuje nas veliki posao, mnogo napornog rada. Ekipa se polako prikuplja i uskoro bi trebali biti kompletni. Još uvijek najveći dio ekipe čine mladi igrači na koje će se računati u budućnosti. Što se tiče uslova u Nacionalnom trenažnom centru Japana ''Ajinomoto'' oni su sjajni. To je njihov olimpijski centar. Tu se nalazi bukvalno sve što je potrebno za pripreme vrhunskih sportista. Vodi se računa o svakom detalju, sitnici i imamo sve što nam je potrebno da pripreme odradimo na najbolji mogući način. Kada je riječ o Riju, šta reći... cilj je uvijek isti, samo jedan a to je medalja. Uradićemo sve što možemo da ispunimo taj cilj, jer se ovoj medalji posebno nadamo'', kazao je Šćepanović pred popodnevni trening.

EP U19: Crna Gora sa Grčkom, Mađarskom i Maltom

Vaterpolo reprezentacija Crne Gore U19 na Evropskom prvenstvu u Holandiji igraće u grupi D sa Grčkom, Mađarskom i Maltom, odlučeno je žrijebom u LEN-u.

Grupa A: Srbija, Italija, Njemačka, Turska

Grupa B: Hrvatska, Rusija, Gruzija, Azerbejdžan

Grupa C: Španija, Holandija, Rumunija, Slovačka

Grupa D: Grčka, Mađarska, CRNA GORA, Malta

''Dobili smo izuzetno jaku grupu, najtežu na šampionatu. Grčka i Mađarska su u ovom uzrastu mnogo jake selekcije i sa njima ćemo voditi borbu za što bolji plasman pred eliminacionu fazu. Biće teško, ali radićemo naporno tokom ljeta, očekuje nas dosta turnira, priprema i vjerujem da možemo do dobrog rezultata'', poručio je trener Miodrag Mirović.

Šampionat je na programu od 11. do 19. septembra 2016. godine.
