Radnicki, Primorje draw level

Primorje's Cosmin Radu and Sandro Sukno scored pivotal goals in the fourth quarter but thanks to two consecutive responds by Ivan Basara Radnicki managed to hold Regional league group A leaders Primorje to a 8-8 draw in Kragujevac on Saturday. The tie does not change any positions in the group A but for 2nd seed Radnicki did saw 3rd ranked Mladost coming utterly close. Regardless the tied final score seems to be a correct display of a close match-up that featured multiple lead changes but could easily have gotten a winner as Basara's 2nd goal that would create the final score, got into the back of the net with still over 2 minutes to play. However shot attempts by Xavi Garcia and Damir Buric for Primorje and Marko Cuk (2) for Radnicki could not get in as both teams drew level.

In other games Partizan could net extend their winning streak from the past two games including a close 10-11 over Jadran Split last week as fellow Split based POSK got away with a clear 13-7 victory in the league's 13th round Saturday. Partizan were still playing without their 4 starters who travelled with the national team to Russia for a World League match last Wednesday, and clearly suffered from missing offensive power from top scorers Dusan Mandic, Gavril Subotic as well as defensive Nikola Jaskic and starting goalie Dimitrije Risticevic, all absent last Saturday. Mladost made good use of Radnicki's draw by dominating Budva in the second halfto win 6-12 and set up a nice ranking for the battle with Radnicki, set to be played 31st of January in round 14. In group B Jadran Herceg Novi held on to their 2nd place by beating Mornar 11-7 at home. Youngster Stefan Pjesivac led the way scoring 4 goals as Mornar failed to take over the 2nd spot behind the still unbeaten side of Jug. The Dubrovnik based powerhouse held Primorac scoreless at home in their match-up as they rolled to a 16-5 blowout win. Red Star remained in 4th by holding off Vojvodina Novi Sad who's resistence broke in the second half where the home side easily walked away to a 10-goal victory: 17-7.
