Kazan 2015: Preliminary round top goal scorers men/women

With the preliminary round of the 2015 World Championships in Kazan behind us, we can take a look at the top goal-scorers of the both tournaments so far. In just three games some differences are already being made. In the men's competition it was Hungary's Denes Varga who used three big wins for the Magyars to score a total 13 goals leading all scorers. Second in the list is Kazakhstan's Alexandr Axenov, also playing in group C, who scored 10 goals so far, just like Greece's top shooter Ioannis Fountoulis. In the women's competition the top goal-scorers list has three top goal scorers after the preliminary round. Monika Eggens from Canada, China's Guannan Niu and Spanish captain and reigning world champion Jennifer Pareja all scored 10 goals total in the previous three games.

The competition in Kazan continues on Saturday with the play-off phase, starting with the 13th-16th place classification semifinals and the crossover round for quarterfinals qualification.
