Euro Games qualification determined

The draw for the qualification tournaments for the 1st ever Euro Games in Baku, Azerbaijan in June, 2015, was held Tuesday at the LEN Office in Luxembourg and saw multiple groups being established, for the men's team 4 and 3 women's. Early March of 2015 all teams will battle for the top 2 position in the respective groups in order to qualify for the historic first-ever Euro Games, which count as the 2015 European Junior championships for water polo.

Considering the final classification of the Men’s European Junior Championship of Malta 2013 and the ranking of the Women’s European Junior Championship of Istanbul 2013, the teams directly qualified to the Euro Games proper are respectively the 1st to 7th placed teams at the Men’s Junior Champs 2013 (Montenegro, Serbia, Italy, Hungary, Croatia, Russia, Spain plus Azerbaijan as organiser), and the 1st to 6th placed teams at the Women’s Junior Champs 2013 (Greece, Spain, Netherlands, Italy, Hungary, Russia).
