Liverpool dominate

City of Liverpool Lizards have a great chance of claiming their first women’s British League Super 5s title after winning twice more in the latest round of matches at Luton - 8-2 against nearest rivals City of Coventry and 7-3 against City of Manchester.

The balance of power in the UK women’s game has changed dramatically this season. London Otter, the 2013 champions, have lost their way, crashing 15-5 to Manchester at Luton. Otter’s only consolation was a first Super 5s win of the season - 11-4 against bottom team Sheffield Sharks.
Coventry stay in second place thanks to a 12-5 success against Sheffield but Liverpool, with a 100 per cent record from four matches, will take some catching. For all the scores from the UK, go to www.bwpl.org.
