With still two matches to play the decision in the Premier League of the Maltese summer competition is there. Neptunes have extended their reign by securing a 5th straight and 23rd overall national championship on Wednesday beating main rivals Sliema 9-5 at home. Steven Camilleri once again topped the scorers list netting 4 shots in the title-clinching victory. Neptunes' well-known summer addition Peter Biros added a pair for the Sergey Markoch coached victors. Two goals each from hired pro's Ivan Basara and Antonio Petkovic could not help Sliema turn things around as they now have to focus on clinching second place by holding off San Giljan in the season's final phase.
