With the teams set to battle in the first qualification round the draw for the preliminary phase of the upcoming 2014-2015 Champions League was held in Rome on the occasion of a meeting between LEN and the wild card holders regarding marketing and tv broadcasts. The results learned that defending champions Atletic-Barceloneta will meet Italian runners-up Brescia who they defeated in last year's Final Six opening day match-up 6-4, ambitious Greek champs Olympiacos and last year's best in Hungary, ZF-Eger in the 10-round prelims. Group B consists of an improved Jug Dubrovnik squad who is set to face the young Partizan team, German champions Spandau and Turkish best Galatasaray.
